Baltimore-based developer and institutional investment management firm MCB Real Estate has announced a new partnership with Sweeten Enterprise to enhance the hiring of Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) for MCB's transformative commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects across the nation.
MCB Real Estate has identified Baltimore's Harborplace area along with Reservoir Square, a new mixed-use community on West North Avenue, as the first two projects to utilize the platform. Sweeten Enterprise, also headquartered in Baltimore, has developed a proprietary software platform that connects minority-owned companies during the procurement process and tracks participation for the life of the project. MCB Real Estate intends to incorporate additional development and construction projects into the Sweeten Enterprise database.
