Versatile attacker Brahim Diaz has been named Real Madrid's Player of the Month for February.
The award recognises the 25-year-old rising star's impressive performances for the Merengues over the past month.
In the month of February, Brahim featured in all eight of Real Madrid's matches in all competitions, even scoring a crucial goal in the first leg of the knockout playoffs against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
The Moroccan international spoke to the club media after winning the prize and expressed his joy by saying:
"I am very happy to win this award, but above all, I am proud of how the team is performing and grateful for the support and affection I receive from the fans every day. It is something incredible, and I always try to give back on the pitch."
Not a regular starter when all of Carlo Ancelotti's first-choice forwards are fit and available, Brahim has stepped up whenever one of them is absent and delivered big time, with each of his performance showing his dedication and determination to help the team.
Reiterating his commitment, the former Manchester City starlet added: "I am full of confidence and eager to keep winning and helping the team. We must continue this strong momentum, and I will do my part to contribute in any way I can."
Finally, Brahim also touched upon the harsh fixture schedule but insisted that the team must focus on the next game, saying:
"We play every three days, and the schedule is quite demanding, but we are in good form and coming off a first-leg derby win, which puts us in a strong position for the return leg.
