INTERNATIONAL OPEN PROCEDURE FOR "MEAL EXPERTS" Reference: WW/MEAL/ITA/2024/IOT03

WeWorld is looking for MEAL EXPERTS

Within the framework of the MEAL unit and WeWorld International Program Department, the MEAL Expert will plan their work according to the priorities defined by the global MEAL Manager to whom they report. The MEAL Expert's support will be carried out partly in the form of remote back office and partly with on-site missions in WeWorld country offices, to be planned with the global MEAL Manager and the Regional Units. The MEAL Expert will primarily focus on supporting WeWorld country offices located in North, East and West Africa, ensuring tailored guidance and oversight for these contexts.

The MEAL Expert will deliver top-quality technical and thematic support, adhering to agreed timelines and modalities, and will provide guidance in the following areas of Work:

1. Technical assistance

2. Capacity building

3. Knowledge Management

REQUIRMENTS

About 10 days/month for back-office activities - to be planned with the Global MEAL manager.

Mission abroad in WeWorld country offices - to be planned with the Regional Unit and the global MEAL manager.

a.An advanced university degree, master or equivalent in the field of Social or Political Science, Development Studies, Economics, Data Science, Information Management, Project Management, or similar

b. 5-7 years of experience in MEAL/M&E in an emergency/development/protracted crisis contexts

c. Previous experience in supervising, mentoring, and managing a team in a cross-cultural setting

d. Previous experience and knowledge of MEAL systems and practices in North, East, and West Africa, particularly in countries such as Benin, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Mali, Tunisia, and Libya.

e. Experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods, including survey development, conduct assessments, collect and analyze primary and secondary data

f. Experience with Mobile Data Collection and related software & language (e.g. Kobo, Microsoft Forms)

g. Experience with proposal and grant development

h. Proficiency in written and spoken French (EU CEFR C1) is mandatory

i. Proficiency in written and spoken English (EU CEFR B2) is mandatory

j. A good knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or Arabic is considered an asset

k. Good knowledge of Microsoft 365
