SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- Happy weekend, Utah! We had a wintry close to the workweek, and the northerly flow in place will allow for daytime highs to remain slightly below average Saturday.

Expect temperatures to climb into the mid 40s along the Wasatch Front, with a range of 50s popping up in central and southern Utah. Highs rebound to average Sunday and high pressure allows for dry skies. High pressure will dominate the weather story through Monday and by the start of the workweek, southwest flow will increase, which will take highs to start the work week about ten degrees above average.

A few days of quiet conditions will come to an end though, with another area of low pressure moving through the Desert Southwest Monday into Tuesday, bringing the chance of isolated showers to parts of Utah, including the south. While we look unsettled for the mid-week, winds will uptick Wednesday ahead of another storm system. By Wednesday night, a more organized, potent trough looks to bring another round of abundant mountain snow and the potential for valley snow through Friday. We will see how this colder, stronger storm evolves so stay tuned for updates.
