More gold. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling and winning a championship can be a huge moment in any wrestler's career. Becoming a champion suggests that a wrestling promotion sees something special in a wrestler and wants to make them into something bigger. That is what we are going to see in the near future and now we have a better idea of who is might be.

WWE is currently holding a tournament to crown the first Women's Intercontinental Champion. Dr. Chris Featherstone has dropped a hint on Twitter, suggesting that the inaugural champion will be a former NXT Women's Champion. The only currently announced former NXT Women's Champion in the tournament is Lyra Valkyria, though WWE ran an angle last week on SmackDown suggesting that Kairi Sane will be replaced in the field.
Opinion: There are some interesting options in the field and it would not surprise me to see Valkyria picking up the title. It would be a big deal for anyone's career to be the inaugural champion and if this is correct, it is going to be someone who has held gold under the WWE banner before. That makes sense and has me curious about who is going to be the first champion.
