A second alarm fire in Wynantskill is under investigation after a home was in flames Friday evening.

Just before 10:45 p.m. the Wynantskill Fire Department, Defreetsville Fire Department, Mountain View Fire Co., and several other mutual aid responded tp the area of Lakeshore Drive and Pershing Avenue for reports of a structure fire.

First responders confirm the fire was at 68 Lakeshore Drive.

While suppressing the fire suppression two firefighters went through the floor, they were quickly removed from the structure, and, no injuries were reported.

Fire crews operated for an extended period to bring the fire under control. No one was home at the time of the fire, the cause remains under investigation.
