PORTLAND, Ore. -- Floyd Light Middle School in east Portland is closed Thursday, Oct. 17 due to a bomb threat, the David Douglas School District announced Thursday morning.

A district spokesperson said the bomb threat was discovered in graffiti in one of the school's bathrooms, but did not include any other details about the nature of the threat or when and how it was found.

All after-school activities and athletics, including 5th grade band, orchestra and choir, have been canceled.
