Nicole Scherzinger had a winning wardrobe to match her acclaimed Broadway debut.

The singer and actress, 46, who is currently starring in Sunset Blvd. on Broadway, saw her show make its grand opening on Oct. 20 to a star-studded audience that included everyone from Brooke Shields to Jeff Bezos, but all eyes were on Scherzinger from the moment she took the stage.

And when she stepped out in not one but two dramatic dresses as well?

Magical.

Scherzinger wore a strapless black Dolce and Gabbana dress with a mermaid silhouette while posing for photos and doing press on the red carpet on Oct. 20. She accessorized with a Bulgari choker and even put on a Hawaiian flower crown that was given to her by her friend. She shared a photo of herself wearing it on Instagram, writing that it was a "little piece of home."

She also wore a black archive Donna Karan Collection look from fall 2008 for the afterparty. This dress featured sheer paneling and delicate beading, showing off Scherzinger's curves on her big night. She accessorized with diamond drop earrings by Briony Raymond that added another bit of dazzling sparkle to her look.

In the Andrew Lloyd Webber show, Scherzinger stars as Norma Desmond, which has already earned her an Olivier Award for her turn in the role on the West End. Scherzinger is already earning rave reviews for her Broadway debut -- and the actress even earned a six-minute standing ovation on her opening night.

Ahead of the night, she told Vogue that she prepares for the stage "like an Olympian."

"I'm very focused and have been working really hard, as has the whole cast," she said. "I've been extremely disciplined, watching and protecting my voice."

She spends her time before shows doing warmups, but when it comes to getting into character, her method is tightly guarded.
