Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., told Newsmax on Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump "overperformed in blue states like New York."
On Tuesday, Trump became the first Republican to win the national popular vote in 20 years garnering more than 72 million votes as of Wednesday night, according to DecisionDesk HQ.
Stefanik told "Rob Schmitt Tonight" that Trump's message of "securing the border, bringing law and order, and pushing back on Democrat, failed, defund-the-police policies" resonated in blue states.
