When it comes to the One UI update, Samsung has been very actively rolling it out with the intention of constantly improving user experience. The 6.1.1 update is packed with many new features and improvements in the user interface, and the company generally announces the next system update after Google announces it at an I/O event, with the stable build coming at the end of the year. However, due to the AI-infused features being incorporated, Android 15 and One UI 7 have been delayed. While there is still time for the latest interface, a mock-up reveals the S25 Ultra design featuring One UI 7, and we have noticed some Apple inspiration.
Samsung seems to be planning to push boundaries on both the hardware and software end. A mockup has recently surfaced that showcases one UI 7 to arrive with the Galaxy S25 series, and it also reveals the features and design elements that will be coming up. Ice Universe shared the mockup on X, which is of Samsung's premium series, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra featuring Android 15 and coming with a new control center that seems to mirror the iPhone.
The S25 Ultra is pivoting in a new direction when it comes to design, as sharper corners are no longer visible. The new model will be packed with rounded corners, giving the series a sleeker and more refined look. The flat display will continue in the new series similar to its predecessor.
Samsung seems to opt for an iPhone inspired design with the new direction of its UI and a revamped control center that has a separate notification panel, allowing for a more streamlined look, especially with the uniformity of the widget sizes. Toggling has been made easier with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth having separate tiles and the eight toggles can be expanded to sixteen, giving the quick setting panel more flexibility.
Other key elements that are being revamped include the camera app, which has been moved to the bottom of the screen to bring more convenience and allow for easier controls with one hand, and the battery indicator would also be integrated with the overall minimal design. The home screen is akin to the iPhone's with a clutter-free approach, and the settings app also opts for better navigation. The latest mockup highlights Samsung's decision to go for a more visually streamlined approach for the One UI 7 that is going to significantly improve user experience.
