STARKVILLE -- Mississippi State football starting defensive lineman De'Monte Russell walked gingerly to the locker room during Saturday's game against Texas A&M.
The play occurred early in the fourth quarter when Russell, a senior, fell to the ground and was landed on by an Aggies offensive lineman. Texas A&M gained three yards on an Amari Daniels rush on the play.
No. 14 Texas A&M (5-1, 3-0 SEC) led MSU (1-5, 0-3) 31-24 at the time. Russell had two tackles before his exit.
Russell is the second Mississippi State player to go to the locker room with an injury. Freshman wide receiver Mario Craver left the game earlier.
