The 30-year-old BLACKPINK singer has been tapped to star in a new Korean drama series called Boyfriend on Demand for the streaming platform.

The first details about the television show and the role that she'll play in it have been revealed.

Her character "longs for a second chance at love" but cannot find it because of her busy work schedule. "When Mi-rae receives a mysterious 'Monthly Boyfriend' device by chance, she decides to give it a try, entering a virtual reality world where she encounters unrealistically perfect boyfriends, 'awakening her dormant desires for romance.'"

She'll share the screen with Seo In-guk, who will play a professional rivan.

The series will "skillfully balance romance and comedy" according to Netflix. The platform promised "heart-fluttering moments and laughter."
