Late in the third quarter of the Sunday Night Football matchup that featured the New York Jets vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, the game was paused as there was a fan that ran on the field at Acrisure Stadium. Now since the NBC broadcast didn't show it, videos taken inside the stadium have later revealed that it was a Donald Trump supporter.
The girl, who was tracked down at the 50-yard line by security, has been identified as Claudia Rose, who is an Instagram model. Evidently, she was making a grand political statement gesture, as Rose was holding up a sign that read, "TRUMP SECURE BORDER" and "KAMALA OPEN BORDER."
Then as she was being taken off the field, the crowd erupted into "USA, USA, USA," chants, as Donald Trump was in attendance at the game to see all of this go down live.
That is to say, Trump is from New York, but former Steelers players Antonio Brown LeVeon Bell have recently pledged their support for the 2024 Presidential candidate, so it's unclear which team the former U.S. President was cheering for.
In view of the play on the field, Russell Wilson, who was making his debut on the Steelers, led the team to a 37-15 win. The 35-year-old quarterback passed for 264 yards and two touchdowns, while 40-year-old Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 276 yards, to go with one touchdown and two interceptions.
This was also a game that included a reunion for Rodgers, who was throwing passes to Davante Adams last night, for the first time since 2021 during their Green Bay Packers days.
As for Rose, she was later bailed out of jail, and confirmed that she ran on the field while wearing heels, which makes it more impressive that she was able go for 50 yards before getting caught.
