TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Supervisors in Lee County approved a new code for manufactured housing aimed at improving the curb appeal of those properties.
The new regulations approved Monday include only one manufactured home being placed on a single lot at least two acres and 60 feet from the road.
The minimum lot width is now 200 feet, and it cannot be closer than 250 feet from another structure.
Those homes are also required to have a covered front porch with guardrails and have a pitched roof.
The code also calls for a brick, stucco or veneer skirt around the home.
Existing manufactured homes are not required to adhere to the county's regulations.
