Syracuse managed just two hits, singles by Yolmer Sanchez and Drew Gilbert. On the whole, the team went 2-28 with no walks and 14 strikeouts.

BINGHAMTON 8, PORTLAND 4 (BOX)

Jonah Tong wasn't as terrific in his second start, presumably his last this season, giving up three runs in a little over three innings. The offense got off to a quick start, taking some of the pressure off the 21-year-old right-hander. Jett Williams, Kevin Parada, and Jaylen Palmer all had multi-hit efforts, with Parada hitting his 11th homer run of the season and driving in three.
