A woman involved in a two-vehicle crash earlier this month died last week, according to a Metro Police news release.
Editha Oyamot, 81, of Las Vegas, had been receiving treatment at UMC Hospital when she succumbed to her injuries and died Thursday.
The crash occurred the afternoon of Dec. 3 at the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and Mount Hood Street.
A Dodge Grand Caravan and a Chevrolet Cruze, of which Oyamot was a passenger, had been traveling toward the intersection from different directions.
The Cruze ran a red light, causing the Dodge to strike the Chevrolet's left rear side, causing major damage to the Cruze and moderate damage to the Dodge, the release stated.
Oyamot was taken to UMC Trauma at the time for treament. Several others involved in the crash reported injuries, but declined treatment.
