Both Whitney Rose of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Whitney Leavitt of Hulu's Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have gone against the Mormon wives grain by cutting bobs.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, the RHOSLC star shared her reaction to Leavitt following in her footsteps. "If you think back to season one, I had my natural hair in a bob," she said. "I've always rocked a blonde bob, so I argue that Whitney stole my look."
In regards to the theory that their haircuts have anything to do with being dubbed reality TV villains, Rose shared, "I think it's only because we want to stand out. We don't want to be like everyone else. If that makes me a villain, then I guess I'm a villain."
"I don't want to look like every other woman around me," she continued. "I want to be me."
Rose also explained that she doesn't see herself as the villain this season, which kicked off in September, but she's embracing the title.

"I'll take it," she said. "I don't know what it is about the bob. I've always had a bob. I wore extensions for a little bit and just didn't feel like myself."
Leavitt, who debuted her bob at the start of season 5, told The Cut that hair extensions are "just not for me."
"I don't know how people sleep on them or wash their hair," she added. I want to just touch my scalp!"

As for her villain edit, Leavitt said: "I mean, yeah, I didn't love what I watched of myself either. So much was going on in my personal life. So when the show came out, I thought it was so funny that I had been labeled as this villain, so I was poking fun at it. But I don't think I'm the villain."
