Center Director, Early Childhood Education

Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

An Associate's degree with an agreement to receive a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited college or university with a major emphasis in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Early Childhood Special Education including specific course work as outlined in child Care Licensing Regulation and three years related management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's Degree preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary: Starting at $2,252.37 Bi-weekly with increases commensurate with experience & education.

This position is eligible for a $500.00 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Schedule: Dependent on location, Center is open 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
