"I have received threats and I am getting threats," Massey admitted, adding that as an actor, his job is to portray stories, not shape public opinion. "I have received threats and I am getting threats, but as I have said before, we are artistes, and we tell stories, and how people think and talk, but I would like to make it clear, even take it from Ekta and make it clear for everyone, this film is purely based on facts, unfortunately no one has seen the film, so none should have a preconceived notion that movie talks about just one aspect of the incident."

Massey continued, saying, "In our trailer, the media's reaction and its side of the story on 27th Feb 2002 is part of the film. Threats are something I am dealing with, we as a team are dealing with, and we will handle it as it ought to be dealt with."
