You goat to be kidding me! 2 Cleveland EMTs get early morning shock while on duty

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - An early morning October 16 shift was running like any other for Cleveland EMT's Aaijone Barnes and Shannon Zimmerly when something caught Barnes' attention.

"We were finishing up a call and something caught the corner of my eye," Barnes recalled, "It was too big to be a dog but too small to be a deer. When I looked I was like oh... there's a goat!"

Two goats to be exact, wondering up to Barnes and Zimmerly during a call in the City of Cleveland. Zimmerly, who lives on a farm and is around goats constantly, was shocked.

"It was really funny to me. This is something I see all the time at my house but not at the City of Cleveland," Zimmerly said.

The EMT's then decided to call Cleveland Police Dispatch, but the message was a weird one to relay.

"I immediately radioed to dispatch to say 'hey we need CPD to this address because we found two goats'", Zimmerly said, "and I guess I said Goats, like supposed to be on a farm, so they understood what I was saying".

Zimmerly and Barnes then fed the goats vegetables from their lunches and kept them warm until CPD could arrive. Zimmerly said that the goats were well taken care of, showing her they could be someone's pets.

It took a few days but the goats were returned to their owners on Friday. This, ending a week both Zimmerly and Barnes will never forget.

"You see a lot of things... but not two goats!" Barnes said laughing.
