Kid Cudi's "Day 'N' Nite" Certified Diamond by RIAA

'Man on the Moon' is also the first 2000s hip-hop album to earn multiple diamond singles.

The Recording Industry Association of America has officially certified Kid Cudi's "Day 'N' Nite" as diamond as the 2008 hit sells 10 million units in the United States.

This feat gives Cudder his second diamond plaque following "Pursuit of Happiness" with MGMT and Ratatat, which was also recently certified 12x platinum. "Wow, the blessings keep comin. This is HUGE. Yall did this man, im so thankful to have all the support and love Ive had for the past 16 years, and Im not even thinkin about stoppin no time soon," he wrote on X. "TO ANYONE WHO BUMPED THIS SONG AND STILL DO TO THIS DAY, I LOVE YOU!!"

In addition to his second diamond cut, Cudi's Man on The Moon is now the first hip-hop album from the 2000s to earn multiple diamond plaques. His debut studio album was home to two tracks that were nominated from three GRAMMY Awards, including "Day 'N' Nite" and "Make Her Say" with Common and Ye.
