While the Texas Tech Red Raiders celebrated a big win over then-No. 11 Iowa State on Saturday, several former Red Raiders players enjoyed wins of their own in the NFL on Sunday.
Nine former Red Raiders are on active 53-man rosters and saw significant playing time with five who made starts.
Baltimore's Broderick Washington Jr. made his first start of the season for the Ravens, while Sam Eguavoen did the same for his New York Jets.
Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs on a game-winning drive in overtime to push Kansas City to 8-0 and a franchise record 14th straight win going back to last season including the playoffs.
Let's take a look at the Red Raiders in the NFL and how they performed in Week 9.
S Dadrion Taylor-Emerson (Arizona Cardinals) - Taylor-Demerson played 28 snaps with 18 on special teams and 10 on defense. He posted three tackles in the Cards' win over the Bears.
DL Broderick Washington Jr. (Baltimore Ravens) - Washington Jr. earned his first start of the season and tallied a season-high six tackles with three solo, including one pass breakup in his team's win over the Broncos.
OL Terence Steele (Dallas Cowboys) - Steele made his eight-straight start of the year for Dallas, playing all 77 offensive snaps in his team's loss to the Falcons.
DE Myles Cole (Jacksonville Jaguars) - Cole finally returned to active status after making the inactive list for six straight games and played 11 snaps with one tackle.
QB Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) - Mahomes and the Chiefs are still the league's lone remaining unbeaten team with an overtime win against the Bucs on Monday Night Football. Mahomes led Kansas City on a 10-play, 70-yard drive after winning the coin toss that ended the game with a two-yard run by running back Kareem Hunt.
DE Tyree Wilson (Las Vegas Raiders) - Wilson played defense and special teams on Sunday and totaled 38 snaps with two tackles in his team's loss to the Bengals.
LB Jordyn Brooks (Miami Dolphins) - Brooks finished with seven tackles with four solo before his team lost on a last-second field goal for the second week in a row.
LB Sam Eguavoen (New York Jets) - Eguavoen earned his first start of the season and eighth of his career, finishing with three tackles with two solo as the Jets beat the Texans on Thursday Night Football.
DB Tyler Owens (Washington Commanders) - Owens played special teams and recorded one tackle in his team's win over the New York Giants.
OL Le'Raven Clark (Philadelphia Eagles) - Injured Reserve
TE Baylor Cupp (Kansas City Chiefs) - Practice squad injured list
WR Erik Ezukanma (Miami Dolphins) - Practice squad
DB Zech McPhearson (Jacksonville Jaguars) - Practice squad
Cole Spencer was released by the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 29.
