Pregame
Good evening from Reynolds Razorback Stadium!
It is a pleasant fall afternoon here in Fayetteville. We'll reach a high in the lower 80s and temperatures will likely fall into the 60s by the end of the game.
Arkansas (4-2, 2-1 SEC) is back on the field after a week off. The Razorbacks won their last game here two weeks ago, 19-14 over then-No. 4 Tennessee, resulting in a field rush and $250,000 fine.
Eighth-ranked LSU (5-1, 2-0) earned its own $250,000 fine last week following a 29-26 overtime victory over then-No. 9 Ole Miss in Baton Rouge. So both teams come in with some momentum.
This is the first time in the 89-season history of the AP poll that Arkansas is hosting top-10 teams in back-to-back Fayetteville games. The Razorbacks have only beaten two top-10 teams in the same season once, in 1964 when Arkansas defeated Texas and Nebraska as part of an undefeated national championship season.
The Razorbacks have called for a "red out" tonight. That includes the team, which will be wearing all-red uniforms for the first time this year.
LSU is wearing all-white uniforms (including helmet) tonight.
We will update as warranted throughout the pregame. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
