King Charles Aims to "Make up for Lost Time" During His Last Years By "Focusing on Things He Believes Are More Important" Than Squabbling With Harry

Despite battling cancer, dealing with family issues, and being 70+ years old, King Charles is still "upbeat" to uphold the crown with a "renewed vigor." Speaking to the Mirror, a royal source claims that "Everything is looking positive [for King Charles], which is welcome." The King reportedly said he plans to "make up for lost time" during the final portion of his reign, which began after his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, passed in 2022.

A Royal Family insider stated that King Charles has always been "positive and upbeat about the future" and "never once felt sorry for himself or bemoaned his situation." As mentioned, Charles III is fighting cancer as an elder alongside his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton. All the while, he has been dealing with the shenanigans of not one but two rogue royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

So, with all this so-called positivity the King has, where exactly does he stand with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Surely, an upbeat monarch would prefer to make things right with his flesh and blood to move on with the final days of his reign. According to a palace insider, here's why Charles III could care less about the ambitious owners of American Riviera Orchard:

"Would the King prefer relations were not as they were between his son and the family? Of course. But the King is focused on things he believes are more important right now."

What the King sees as "important" is seeing his reign to the end without slowing down. "Even his cancer diagnosis failed to stop him working," states a royal source. However, the monarch knows his time is ticking and his days are numbered; eventually, he will lay down the crown for Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge.

Redditors discussing Charles' future passing debated how "awkward" things would be with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The commenters believe Meghan is the main issue that might possibly prevent Harry from attending the funeral. One user stated, "I can't see how she would be invited in the sense that she won't be asked to do things to the extent she was allowed to when QEII died (e.g., walking with other royal members in the Abbey). She really has no relationship with Charles -- her children even less so."

The same Redditor went on with their highly upvoted comment:

"Regardless of how things pan out, Harry will have a distinctly reduced role in the proceedings, and Meghan and their kids won't figure in any of it. They have already been edged out of all things royal. It is difficult to see how they could play an intimate part in any of it. It would be churlish of her, even by her whiney standards, to expect that level of engagement. I think the Royal Family are well and truly over the Sussex tantrums."

The final sentence is a solid nail in the coffin of how King Charles likely feels about Harry. He's got better things to do with his time than pamper or squabble with his prodigal son.
