ANSON, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Anson ISD employee and youth sports photographer is accused of using children's pictures to make AI pornography.
Daril Gonazles is facing Federal charges for Possession and Attempted Possession of Child Pornography Involving a Prepubescent Minor and Possession and Attempted Possession of an Obscene Visual Representation of a Child in connection to the allegations.
Gonzales was initially contacted after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told police there had been lewd visual material of children on his devices in July 2024.
During the investigation, court documents state investigators discovered Gonzales was in possession of at least six videos depicting child pornography where the faces of children under the age of 18 had been superimposed onto the bodies of females engaged in sexual activities with adult males.
He also was in possession of three photos where a child's face was on an "AI generated nude body," according to the documents.
The United State's Attorney's Office confirmed Gonzales is accused of making this superimposed and AI generated pornography himself.
"Without the children's consent, he allegedly used artificial intelligence (AI) to superimpose the faces of pre-pubescent students onto the faces of adult subjects in sexually explicit videos or to attach AI-generated nude bodies to the faces of the girls," a press release explains.
This press release also confirms Gonzales was employed as a janitor at Anson ISD at the time of his arrest and also "moonlighted as a school sports and cheerleading photographer."
