MSP is urging drivers to avoid driving under the influence, preventing the risk of accidents, said Lieutenant Mike Shaw.

"Once again we see someone who decided to get behind the wheel while impaired," Shaw said. "This crash could have been a lot worse. We are reminding drivers to not get behind the wheel while impaired. There are too many other options available."

The driver of the Ford F-150, a 20-year-old from Novi, was arrested, according to MSP. The individual is in police custody pending prosecutor review, MSP said.
