SOON AS I'M LEAVING THE HOUSE TO COME TO WORK. AND I'M LIKE, I'M GOING TO GET DRENCHED BEFORE I GET HERE. WHERE ARE YOUR UMBRELLAS? I KNOW JADE HAS LIKE, FIVE UMBRELLAS SOMEWHERE. THEY'RE LIKE ALWAYS. THEY'RE ALL OVER THE PLACE OR IN THE CAR. THEY'RE NEVER WHERE YOU NEED THEM. YEAH, EXACTLY. BUT UMBRELLA ADVISORY, BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO NEED THOSE UMBRELLAS TODAY. THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WE KIND OF HAVE THIS PATTERN WHERE WE'RE GOING TO SEE A COUPLE MOVING QUICK SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST, AT LEAST AS WE HEAD INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK. I THINK BY WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, WE'RE NOT GOING TO SEE AS MUCH MOISTURE LINGERING. BUT STILL, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE IN THE DRY SEASON, WE'RE NOT DEALING WITH THUNDERSTORMS. WE STILL HAVE THOSE PASSING SHOWERS. TAKING THAT VIEW OF JENSEN BEACH OVER IN THE TREASURE COAST, WE HAVE SOMEBIG WAVES OUT THERE. AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. SO STILL VERY, VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU CONSIDER THAT THERE'S RIP CURRENTS AND ALSO A HIGH SURF ADVISORY. IN EFFECT, WE HAVE AN ONSHORE FLOW, WE HAVE SOME LOW LEVEL MOISTURE, A COUPLE SHOWERS PUSHING THROUGH, SOME LINGERING CLOUD COVERAGE AND EVEN THOSE GUSTY WINDS AS WELL. A COUPLE SPOTTY SHOWERS AS WE TAKE A VIEW OF PORTIONS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY. HEAVIER RAINFALL FROM LAKE WORTH BEACH, LANTANA HYPOLUXO. THIS IS ALL MOVING OFF TOWARDS THE WEST. DO HAVE SOME LIGHT SHOWER ACTIVITY FROM PALM SPRINGS. YOU'RE GOING TO NOTICE THE INTENSITY KIND OF PICKING UP JUST A LITTLE BIT WITHIN THE NEXT 5 TO 10 MINUTES OR SO. SOME LIGHT RAINFALL FROM THE AIRPORT TO WEST PALM BEACH AND DOWN TOWARDS DELRAY BEACH AS WELL. SO GOING TO KEEP THAT RAIN CHANCE IN THE FORECAST, ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE PALM BEACHES. NOT AS MUCH RAIN COVERAGE THAT WE'RE SEEING THERE FOR THE TREASURE COAST, FOR YOU, BUT WE'RE STILL GOING TO KEEP AN ISOLATED SHOWER CHANCE IN THE FORECAST, ESPECIALLY FROM INDIANTOWN, ALL THE WAY INTO STUART TEMPERATURES OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS, STAYING STEADY IN THE 70S. SO COOL FOR THIS TIME OF THE EVENING COMPARED TO WHAT WE SAW ALL SUMMER LONG. BUT AS WE HEAD INTO THE OVERNIGHT THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING, I DO THINK WE DO HAVE A COUPLE SPOTTY SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST, ESPECIALLY FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. SO JUST SOME ISOLATED RAINFALL RIGHT ALONG THE COASTAL AREAS. MOVING INLAND THROUGHOUT THE MID-MORNING AND INTO YOUR AFTERNOON, HOUR BY HOUR FORECAST. AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE OVERNIGHT, WE HAVE THE STRONG ONSHORE WIND WINDS STILL CONTINUING TO GUST INTO THE 20S UP TO 30MPH. THAT CONTINUES THROUGHOUT THE OVERNIGHT THROUGHOUT YOUR MONDAY. IT'S GOING TO HELP DRIVE THOSE SHOWERS VERY QUICKLY. OFF TO THE WEST, A COUPLE SPOTTY SHOWERS AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR MONDAY AFTERNOON, AND THEN TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS AS WELL. NOW, WE'RE NOT LOOKING AT ANY THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY, SO THAT'S A BONUS, BUT SOME QUICK MOVING SHOWERS FOR THE COMMUTE HOME FOR THE KIDS HEADING TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING. SO AGAIN, JUST KEEP THE UMBRELLA CLOSE BY. WE'RE NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING ON THE SEVERE SIDE. AND GOOD THING IS THESE SHOWERS ARE MOVING VERY QUICKLY. WE'RE NOT GOING TO SEE MUCH IN THE WAY OF FLOODING FROM THOSE SHOWERS, BUT BECAUSE WE'RE STILL IN THAT KING TIDE CYCLE, KING TIDE INFLUENCE, ANYTIME WE HAVE THE HIGH TIDE ROLLING AROUND, AT LEAST TOMORROW IN THE NEXT DAY OR SO, WE WILL SEE SOME FLOODING ALONG THOSE LOW LYING AREAS. SALT WATER, FLASH FLOODING. THERE IS EXPECTED HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY STILL IN EFFECT THROUGHOUT MONDAY. TAKING A LOOK, WE DO HAVE HURRICANE OSCAR RATHER MAKING LANDFALL OVER THE EASTERN PORTION OF CUBA. EVENTUALLY IT'S GOING TO CONTINUE OVER LAND, WEAKENING INTO A TROPICAL STORM AND THEN STEERING AWAY FROM THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. IT'S NOT EXPECTED TO MAKE ANY IMPACT ON THE U.S. AT ALL OR FOR US HERE IN FLORIDA, ALTHOUGH WE COULD SEE THIS MAKING A SECOND LANDFALL, MAYBE NEAR TURKS OR CAICOS OR ANOTHER ISLAND, THERE ALONG THE BAHAMAS. OTHERWISE, THOUGH, WE DO HAVE A LOT OF FACTORS IN PLACE. WE HAVE HIGH PRESSURE TO OUR NORTH. WE ALSO HAVE A LOT OF WIND SHEAR, WHICH WILL HELP KIND OF JUST KEEP THIS SYSTEM A LITTLE BIT WEAKER. IT IS A VERY SMALL HURRICANE AND IT WILL ALSO HELP KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA. TEMPERATURES OUT THE DOOR IN THE MID 70S. RAIN COOLED AIR ACROSS THE PALM BEACHES. LOW 80S FOR THE AREAS THAT ARE A LITTLE BIT DRIER ALONG THE TREASURE COAST. BUT TONIGHT LOOK FOR THE LOW 70S ALONG THE TREASURE COAST RIGHT AROUND 70 DEGREES FOR INDIANTOWN, UPPER 60S FOR OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, AND IN THE MID 70S WHEN YOU'RE HEADING OUT THE DOOR ALONG THE PALM BEACHES FROM WEST PALM TO JUPITER, ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BOCA RATON, EVEN FOR LANTANA TO LAKE WORTH ROAD TOMORROW AFTERNOON, LOOK FOR TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO LOWER 80S WITH A COUPLE OF ON AND OFF SHOWERS. SO PRETTY SIMILAR SETUP THROUGHOUT YOUR MONDAY TUESDAY. QUICK SHOWERS MOVING THROUGH AS YOU HEAD INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. STILL LOOKING AT TEMPERATURES HITTING THOSE MID 80S. SO A COUPLE DEGREES ABOVE OUR AVERAGE WITH JUST A STRAY SHOWER OR TWO IN THE FORECAST, WE'RE NOT REALLY EXPECTING ANY SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL. AND WE'RE ALSO NOT EXPECTING ANY INFLUENCES FROM THE TROPICS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS HERE
On & off quick showers, a check on Hurricane Oscar
