The city of Rochester is seeking public input on spending priorities for the fiscal year 2025-26 budget.

Community members will be able to help inform budget decisions by Mayor Malik Evans and the Office of Management and Budget through an online survey, telephone town hall meeting and at pop-up tables located at various community events this fall.

"The community's input is essential when considering how we allocate city funds," Evans said in a news release. "Receiving community input at the beginning of the budget development process allows us to hear from our stakeholders sooner and place their concerns at the forefront of our decision making."

The survey is available through Nov. 4 on the city website and the telephone townhall will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

" at the Fire Station Open House, 977 University Ave, at 10 a.m. on Oct. 19;

" at the Public Market, 280 N. Union St., at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26.

Evans will present his budget proposal to City Council on May 9.
