BOONE -- The Boone Big Lots will close its doors as the company has filed for bankruptcy. The Boone location joins the Jefferson location in Ashe County as one of the stores across the country that are closing.

Big Lots has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Nexus Capital Management LP.
