WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Marathon County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday night to discuss a resolution involving American Rescue Plan Act funds.
The board made a near unanimous vote to pass the resolution which allocates the remaining ARPA funding the county has to comply with U.S. Treasury guidance.
With the resolution, the county is reallocating $1,864,380 to fund the Regional Forensic Science Center and $1,343,996 to fund the 2024 and 2025 Utility Services Line projects.
The deadline for municipalities to decide on where or what the ARPA funds will go toward is the end of December, although the funds can be used for projects through Dec. 31, 2026.
