ANN ARBOR, MI - Want to eat a work of art? An Ann Arbor cafe offers the chance with its assortments of pastries.
Cannelle, 110 E. Washington St. in downtown, is a French cafe that serves baked goods that range from sweet to savory.
For the sweet tooths out there, the white chocolate and raspberry macaron is an ornate and decadent piece of culinary artistry.
First off, the colors pop, from the bright reds of the raspberry cookie to the white of the cream. The whipped cream and raspberries are also intricately placed atop the whole presentation.
As expected, the macaron combines all different kinds of sweetness. There's the fruity tartness, the sugary cookie, the milky cream and the syrupy middle.

The cafe is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Between a pastry and a drink, each trip to Cannelle costs about $10-15.
