Today, Kate announced that she has officially completed her chemotherapy treatment.

"Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus," she said in the film, which was recorded in Norfolk by videographer Will Warr last month. "Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

Elsewhere in her statement, Kate offered her candid reflections on how her diagnosis has shaped her outlook towards life today.

"The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything," the princess said.

She concluded the video with a moving message to others who are still battling cancer: "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey -- I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."

The three-minute long film marks one of the few times that the public has seen Kate since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. At the time, she did not specify what type of cancer she was diagnosed with, but she did reveal that the cancer was identified following an abdominal surgery in January.

"The surgery was successful; however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment," she said.
