Knicks Add 4th Player to Injury Report for Pacers Matchup

Depth and health is what determined the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks series in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals last year. And both have come knocking once again, threatening to interrupt an otherwise matinee regular-season matchup.

Ahead of their second meeting of the season with the Pacers, the Knicks are listing four players on the injury report, dealing with some form of ailment: Precious Achiuwa, Miles McBride, Cam Payne, and Mitchell Robinson.

McBride is the surprise listing, written in as "questionable" with "illness." The fourth-year guard is coming off of a 14-point, 5-rebound, 2-assist performance in New York's 116-94 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. His absence would pave the way for extended playing time for rookie Tyler Kolek, who's impressed to start the season.

Achiuwa has yet to make his season debut after suffering a hamstring strain in the preseason. Head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on Nov. 8 that the fifth-year forward is "feeling better," but hasn't been cleared to return to practice.

Payne has missed three consecutive games due to a hamstring strain of his own. The 10-year veteran is averaging 5.6 points and 3.2 assists over five appearances this season. He's listed as "questionable."

And then there's Robinson, the Knicks' longest tenured player. He isn't expected back until early January, while he rehabs his left ankle, an injury that limited him to just 31 regular-season appearances last year. Robinson aggravated his ankle injury in the 2024 postseason, and had a second surgery in May. He remains out.

New York, after winning their first meeting with Indiana this season, will roll into the rematch down a few valuable contributors. Tip-off on Nov. 10 is scheduled for 5:00 pm EST.
