Raising Cane's Gets Approval for a Drive-Through in Twin Falls ID

Days after the Golden Corral restaurant closed in Twin Falls speculation was swirling that another restaurant would be coming to the Magic Valley to fill the void.

When we wrote about the closure of Golden Corral and Raising Cane's interest in the property back in August, we had incomplete information. Now, following a City Council meeting at the beginning of December, we know that Cane's is interested in the location and has been approved to run an extended-hours drive-through.

Interestingly, having a drive-thru was one of the biggest issues with In-n-Out getting approval for opening a location near the Twin Falls Visitor Center, which was approved in October, and Taco Bell opening a 2nd location in Twin Falls on Addison Ave.

Raising Cane's doesn't have any Idaho locations open, yet. A location has been confirmed for Meridian with a potential opening date before the end of 2025. No opening date was given in the city council presentation or notes.

The new Raising Cane's restaurant in Twin Falls will be a new 3,118-square-foot restaurant building with 2 drive-through lanes. The restaurant will also have 1,209 square feet of outdoor dining space.

The application was passed unanimously at the Twin Falls City Council meeting on December 3rd.

Raising Cane's is typically open 'Sunday-Thursday from 9:30am-1:30am, and Friday and Saturday from 9:30am-3:30am' according to the Planning and Zoning narrative.

There will be 48 parking spaces and an average of 12 employees per shift.
