Strictly's Aljaz Skorjanec reveals whether he'll stick with the show

Speaking to Metro, Aljaž explained that his decision to remain on the show is solely dependent on his one-year-old daughter Lyra, who he shares with his wife Janette Manrara.

"It's up to her," he revealed, before sharing how his job has made him more "focused" and "organised" in his life.

"Obviously, with being a dad, there is a new aspect of my life that wasn't there before for nine years," he said.

"If I'm not with Lyra and if I am [at work], then I'm gonna do it 150% because, otherwise, what is the point? Otherwise, I just want to be home. It puts things into a massive perspective, and it made me be a better dad, and it makes me be a better Strictly pro.

"I feel like I've never been more creative, I've never been more involved, and never been more on the top of my game than this year, actually, in a very funny way."

Over the course of the series, Tasha and Aljaž have continued to wow the judges with their breathtaking routines. They are currently the only couple to have scored a perfect 40 this year, which they gained for their American smooth and waltz.

Elsewhere in the interview, Aljaž shared that he hopes to keep in touch with Tasha after the final, as they have a "great" friendship.

"I don't like saying goodbye. I never say goodbye to people, mainly like, not even when they say goodbye to tomorrow. It's just till next time, really," he said.

"This has been a beautiful little start to a great friendship and I firmly believe that it's gonna continue."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
