A little more than a year after unanimously approving a short-term rental ordinance for the unincorporated areas of the county, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors heard an update to the implementation during its Oct. 22 meeting.
According to Jay Christelman, Coconino County's community development director, more than 1,000 permits had been approved -- with approximately 926 active -- when the presentation was created. Christelman explained that the number was a little lower than it was last year because there "aren't quite as many listings this year as there had been the first year we had this in effect."
