Seven games are on the NBA slate for Tuesday, February 4, with three of my entries focusing on a must-see matchup between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers -- including Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Darius Garland.
My others feature players from another East clash as the Miami Heat visit the Chicago Bulls.
Here are my best NBA picks for DraftKings' Pick6.
The first three picks are our favorite plays for a 3-player lineup. If you want to play a 6-player lineup, use all six stat projections below.
Nikola Vucevic is averaging 19.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists on an impressive 40% from 3-point land. The big man is on a heater right now offensively, registering more than 19.5 points in four of his last five.
Vooch has scored 21 and 20 across his previous two outings and averages 20.8 ppg at home compared to 18.9 on the road. Chicago will host the Miami Heat tonight at the United Center, and the Heat allow right around 20 points per game to centers.
Kristaps Porzingis is still averaging 19.2 ppg for the defending champions despite missing time. The Latvian has only scored more than 18.5 points once in his last five, but in two of those games, he finished with 18. The Celtics are up against the Cavs tonight and he played well against them earlier in the campaign.
Porzingis dropped 21 on Cleveland and just averaged 20.2 ppg in January.
Although Jayson Tatum is the team's top scorer, he's also their best playmaker, dishing out 5.7 dimes per night. The Duke product is killing the competition as a facilitator, compiling more than 5.5 assists in three of his last five outings.
That includes back-to-back games with 10 and 11 dimes, respectively. Yes, Cleveland is a difficult matchup for small forwards (only allowing 3.7 dimes per night), but I'll ride Tatum's hot hand.
Josh Giddey can do a little bit of everything for the Bulls. For this entry, I'll focus on his impact on the glass. The Aussie is averaging 7.4 rebounds this season and has registered double digits in boards in four of his last seven appearances. Giddey just had 10 rebounds against the Pistons on Sunday.
This is definitely going against the trends, but hear me out. While Darius Garland has produced more than 20.5 points in four of his last five, the Cavs are up against the Celtics tonight. That's never easy for any team because of how solid they are on both ends of the floor.
Garland hasn't played well against Boston, either. The team has held him to just 15 points in two games so far this season, and Garland is coming off a 17-point performance.
First-time All-Star Tyler Herro is leading the charge for the drama-filled Heat amid the Jimmy Butler trade buzz. Aside from his 23.8 ppg, he's also averaging 5.4 assists per contest. The Kentucky product is dropping dimes lately as well, easily dishing out more than 6.5 assists in four of his last five.
The Bulls are towards the bottom of the league in most assists allowed and Herro is truly picking apart his opponents right now.
