A 23-year-old man was killed when gunfire broke out at a house party in Victorville early Saturday, authorities said.

Tamariya Johnson of Victorville died following the shooting, which took place just before 12:50 a.m. at a home in the 14500 block of Coalinga Road, between El Evado Road and Del Gado Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials.

Deputies responded to reports of "multiple shots fired" at the home, where a party was taking place, the agency said in in a written statement.

Johnson had already been taken to an area hospital by friends before first responders arrived, officials said. He succumbed to his wounds a short time later.

"The suspect has not been identified and remains at large," the statement said.

No further details, including a suspect description or motive, were available Saturday night.
