Six Bossier Parish educators were surprised today with the news they will be representing Bossier Schools as the District 2025-26 Teachers and New Teachers of the Year.
Teacher of the Year candidates are educators who have been in the classroom for at least two years and New Teachers of the Year are first-year educators who demonstrate excellence in their field as well as leadership, innovation and positively impact student growth and achievement. The process for selecting a Louisiana Teacher and New Teacher of the Year starts at the school level, then advances to the district. The next step is the state level.
